Bikes: 1985 Sanwa 215 12 Speed, *Soon* Trek 2.3 w/SRAM Rival Upgrade

I sent an email to Psimet for a quote recently, and I'm looking forward to hearing back from him, but out of curiousity sake, how are the SRAM S80's (durability, etc.), beyond the small weight addition over the Zipp counterparts?
