The media is one of the biggest problems in our country. Like you stated above, kids aren't getting any worse. The media leads people to believe they are though. Murder among kids has gone down a lot though the years. The only thing really increasing is suicide within the younger generations. It's mainly due to the fact of, you guessed it, the media. Kids have a lot more pressure nowadays. Teen girls especially, because they try to look beautiful, attractive, sexy, thin, etc; just like people they see in music videos and movies. It's almost as if there is a media norm teens need to live up to and when they can't, that's usually when depression and even suicide happen.
