Shimano and Sram, compatible?

I have an early 90's Cannondale R200, equipped with RSX for the moment. Why it was spec'd with a long cage RD is beyond me, but not my question really. I have a set of 7/2 Shimano brifters, and was wondering if they're compatible with Sram as far as cable pull amounts? Logic says yes, but I honestly have no idea. The RD is an ESP 7.0, and I will be using it with a 7 speed RSX brifter, which is not currently on the bike. It has indexed Shimano DT shifters... So...? Will it work?,,,,BD
