The absence of certain information from the complainant is the key. These two groups know each other. Again there is more to this. All the other stuff is irrelevant. You are misreading, it was the cop refusing to tell reporters the descriptions and what words were spoken.
Pretty screwed up that cops will not give the public the descriptions of such scum.
