road pedals - A515 and A520 for example - the overall platform is just as large as any "road" pedals I have seen. And no matter how much (in my case, limited

) power I apply, I never pull out of the pedal accidentally. Hotspots are a myth unless you don't have decent soles that allow the pressure of the smaller cleat to be distributed well.
What's left in the "efficient" definition???
