Most riders actually ride maybe a dozen routes on a routine basis. They know where everything is at. Even if you go to a gas station convenience store, you can easily slip the attendant some bills to store the bike behind the counter.
know your route yes. i make sure there are public restrooms on parks/trails/etc on the way where i can literally bring the bike inside the cubicle, which are usually large enough since enforcement of that disability code where wheelchairs should fit comfortably inside restrooms (in CA at least).
