Many projects:
* Figure out what to do with the lovely lemon yellow '86 Paramount I bought myself for Father's Day. 8-sp DA but with tubulars, so until I decide what to do with that wheelset I have to mount up a set of 130mm clinchers with that new pair of Pro Race 3's that arrived yesterday and start riding it. If it's a smidge too small, it will go to a new owner this summer.
* Rebuild (yes, again) The Yellow Submarine, my '87 Cannondale ST tourer. Pretty much new everything- Ultegra, triple SR crank, 100mm stem, Tektro R538's, 700c wheelset, Michelins, 9sp and 130mm. I can get that one built in a few evenings, but have to do it soon because I plan to ride it in the 24 Hours of Booty event at the end of July down in Charlotte.
* Build my wife's Trek 460 with the girly downtube (can't really call it a mixte). Got a nice set of 27's with Michelin Continentals, a triple Sakae, and a box of bike jewelry to put on it. Semi-upright, maybe with reversed mustache bars, but she wants grip shifters (!) so we'll have to play around with the bars a bit, I suspect. But nice that she wants to go on 30 mile rides together.
A bunch of frame builds, all of which have fresh powdercoats:
* An all-black '85-ish Cannondale SR with Shimano 600 Tri-color, 130mm/8 speed. Black, black, black, black. Except for the gold decals. But black.
* A metallic gold '84 Cannondale SR with a black fork and new-ish Suntour Cyclone 6 speed group, Maillard wheelset.
* A yellow '84 Cannondale SR that's getting red housing, bar tape and saddle, all new 105, 8 speed, 130mm. Trying to convince the Vintage Cannondale decal guy to cut me a set of red ones. If so...STUNNER!!!
* FINALLY...Big Pink. An '87 Cannondale SR NOS frame in rose pink that I bought last year. Have a box of NOS or nearly NOS SHimano 600 7-speed to put on it along with a new alloy wheelset, white saddle, white bar tape and white cable housing. I've put off building this bike so many times it's crazy, but this one may actually be a keeper.
* A Trek 760 that's waiting to be picked up from the powder coater. Ditched the purple for a red frame/white fork color scheme & will put on a white saddle, white bar tape and cable housing, new white decals, new alloy wheelset and 7 speed Shimano 600 Tricolor group with Ultegra brakes and Tektro levers.
Couple bikes in boxes...just waiting for the refurb treatment: a tasty '87 Schwinn Tempo I bought from BG last year and have yet to decant, an '87 sea foam green SR500 Cannondale, a black '88 SR500 Cannondale, and a black '91 (I think) 7 speed SR400.
And somewhere back in there is a NOS Schwinn Super Sport LE frame and SE Draft front fork. Please do not ask me what I am going to do with that or why I bought it.
