Bar Tape

I need to replace the bar tape and was thinking about using black this time.

What is the best tape:

1) Do you want it with or without adhesive?

2) I would think I would want gel or cork, not sure which is better

3) Was looking at Forté Carbon Handlebar Tape for $7.00 at performance. This would be my first tape job and learning on cheap tape seems like a good idea. That said I it does not offer any cushion? However Carbon Tape on my black carbon Cervelo might look good? http://www.performancebike.com/webap...mmaryOnly=true

4)Was also at Fi'zi:k Microtex Tape for $15.00 small difference in price so it might be worth paying a little more? I also see Fi'zi:k Soft Touch Microtex Bar Tape for the same price is it better?

5) Then I see Forté Classic Cork Tape for $7.00 cork would seem good and after a year it would not hurt much to replace it. My hands sweat and the bar tape does get grungy. http://www.performancebike.com/bikes..._1033675_-1___

6) I also see Fi'zi:k Bar Gel with Microtex Bar Tape for $25.00 which seems like a lot of money.

Your suggestions would be most appreciated

PS I thought I saw anther thread on tape but could not find it so that why I started this one.
