No glove rider here and I only use Fizik Microtex. I tried the soft-feel and didn't like it as much. I frequently ride in temperatures that cross 95 degrees with 70-80% humidity and have no problems with slipping. Microtex may be more expensive initially, but it lasts for months and months even under heavy riding. I find that I end up re-wrapping due to impatience rather than having any wear or dirt on the tape. It's a snap to clean as well. A wet paper towel removes just about all grime. Since the Microtex is so thin, it tends to provide a lot of "road feel." That's something I like. If you want something a bit more cushy, the Dual tape mentioned above might be a better bet. If you don't like the colors, you can simply wrap it the opposite way and it will be a solid color without the stripe showing.
