You are correct. I am the one emphatically, shamelessly and correctly stating that ALL roadies are jerks. It's worth noting that I use "roadie" in a strictly derogatory way. The easiest way I can put this is I have every confidence that there are pro riders who are guys who ride bikes and I'm equally sure there are pro roadies. Same goes for non-pros. Decent folk and tube steaks.
