Some tires are luckier too. Only flats I ever had, occurred within a month of riding the tire and they were all the rear tires. Road bike was a piece of glass, had to walk the bike about 5 miles home. The mountain bike had a huge thorn go into it, but being new tires, it breached the tube at the very tip of the thorn, so it was a slower leak, but I still wound up walking that home too and that was closer to a 3.5 to 4 mile walk. Track bike has hit a few piles of glass, but the tires haven't been compromised. Amazing not even a cut, Innova Flames 700x25's @ 100 psi on a Vilano.

I never suspected they were priced that high, I found them on ebay $ 39.99 per pair ($ 27.99 with $ 12 S&H), while that link indicates $ 33 reduced to $ 25 for a single tire and $ 41.50 for a pair. The tires on my road bike are Forte GT2 Kevlars that are actually cheaper than the Innova's. Mountain bike has Kenda's if I recall. So I'm not brand loyal, had about the same luck with all of them for durability. Get the tires that you like the tread pattern and fits your budget, even color if that's the way you want to roll.
