Been there...done that. And she actually didn't have too much to say about it--it was after dinner, and I'm up way too early in the morning for her to witness most long-term damage

@WNG: The Diamondback is sized for a person a step down from me, but the seat post height makes the leg extension exactly what I need (plus my upper body really likes the "shortness" of the reach) considerably better even before the min insert height. It was just such a sweet deal that I couldn't walk away! Regarding the Denali, after putting real saddle time on a proper bike...that thing will never be ridden again. If I don't get it sold by winter, it may be used because it's so heavy that it could afford a little extra traction and forces me to ride a bit slower; otherwise, it is CL fodder for any unfortunate soul.
