I've had a bonded aluminum frame like that Alan, mine was a Vitus, it was a noodle bike. If you weigh any more than 150lbs don't go near that Alan. Sure, they're amazingly light, but if you're going to ride it daily or even weekly, I'd stick with steel. Those were made before the switch to oversized tubing for aluminum bikes, so besides the obvious flaw of the joints being glued, you also have weaker aluminum tubing. Like I said, noodle bike....
