I am the proud owner of a 1980s Raleigh Scott Tinley technium, and recently decided to try fixed gear. I bought this crankset http://cgi.ebay.com/Shimano-Nexus-Bi...ht_1514wt_1137

It seems to not want to go onto my bottom bracket/spindle (which is stock) should I be having compatibility issues, or do I need to hammer it on with a rubber mallet? I think they are both a standard square taper, but I haven't checked the specific size
