Never never ever adjust your cleats to "make" your knees or feet do anything. the cleat adjustment and float is there so that your feet are allowed to do whatever they want. The pain is because the cleats are adjusted in such a way as to restrict the natural movement. No one over the internet can fix this for you.

Also consider varus/vulgus wedges and Q adjustment when finding your perfect fit.
