I also could use advice on going new vs used, used bike resources (besides ebay). I'm going to be using this bike for century rides and general fitness (w/ multiple rides during the week in the 20-40 mile range). I've been told over and over I'm a 58cm in most brands (especially trek). This is my first nice cycle, so I'm not looking to go too cheap, but I don't have the scratch for a $2,500 bike either. The people at my LBS really talked up the 2005 allez elite.
