Wait... do you mean two chainrings up front, but only one sprocket in the rear? This is possible, but not really a good idea. You'll have to leave the rear derailer on as a chain tensioner, plus the two gears you have will be pretty close together. You're better off just going with one chainring and making it a 6-speed.
