197X Garlatti conversion [PIC INTENSIVE]

This is still a work in progress.

This bike was originally set up as a low end, bike boom racer, imported from Italy, to north america (montréal, québec) by an italian shop (coppi) which was kind of legendary but is now closed.

it was a surprising mish mash of parts : campagnolo valentino extra gears, universal mod 61 centerpull brakes (i use them on other bikes now!), ofmega headset (still on and the locknut is even aluminum...!), cottered cranks (good riddance), 3ttt alu stem & handlebar (mod grand prix, both still on there), pedals had been replaced already, steel chrome rimes (gone !), plastic saddle, steel seatpost, etc.

some nutcase is trying to sell a bad green one on ebay :

i still need to switch to a singlespeed freewheel (maybe tomorrow, if the mavic hub is made so that respacing is possible....) that will make the bike even lighter (still haven't had the chance to put it on a scale !)
have a khe tanga light 250g 1-speed chain set up
the rear triangle is bent but I think it's not much of a problem
the front wheel is not the one I want... i have a old tubular wolber waiting to have its new tire glued on
also need to weld a crack in my pedal (any tips ?)

new specs include :
-zeus crank, 45t drilly orig. ring, campagnolo croce d'aune BB
- original ofmega hs, 3ttt stem & handles
- new sakae alu fork donated by a member of bikeforums (props !!!)
- campagnolo track pedals-mavic gp4, wolber as40 titane chrome rims both on mavic sealed hubs, vittoria olimpionico/clément super condor (both thai) tubs
- campagnolo nuovo gran sport front brake, satin finish, with generic alu 3-finger MTB lever
- campagnolo nuovo record 26.4 seatpost... (what a b**** to set up !!!)
