my 1997 bianchi came stock with miche hubs, headset, and crankset.. i got the bike about 6 mo ago and the hubs and headset are still fine. i had to replace the crank before i started riding it much since all the crank bolts were corroding, and the pedal threads stripped on the second ride.

so yes, miche is ok, but not bulletproof.
