That price seems high to me. Just because he paid $1,700 originally for a bike and bought $2,000 worth of upgrades; that doesn't mean it's worth $4,000. (as he implies.) Especially if the old components don't come with the deal. (not that you'd want them.)
It's a lower-range frame with higher-end components. Kindof like an '84 Toyota with an expensive set of wheels.
