Agreed. The justification I use to getting a more expensive bike/component/thingie is everything I have/do has gotten me here and I deserve something cool, lighter, more aero, etc. and I'll buy it just based on that. Retailers love me. Plus, I'm big and I'll take any real or imagined help I can get to scooting up the hills a little faster or easier.
