Yeah, the Boulder fire was started by a member of the local volunteer fire department. Over 160 homes lost on that one. Whew!

The fire just west of Loveland was started by a BBQ pit ember setting off some nearby dry grass. Only a couple of homes lost up there. Yesterday, they were talking about evacuating all of the homes along the Big Thompson River, and the major roads that go up to Rocky Mountain National Park. A big damn mess. They are letting people go back home from the evacuated area near Loveland today.

I should have rode by myself on Sunday. I've ridden the 100-mile route every year for the last four years on that ride (Buffalo Bicycle Classic). Since money is tight, this is the only organized ride that I signed up for this year. I'm going to sign up for 2 or 3 next year. I really like organized events, if they are run well
