I see, so that is what makes Italian hubs different? On their lockring threading size?

If I was to just use a Shimano dura ace lockring ( or any other English thread lockring) on it would it be sufficient to hold the adaptor and cog firm in place? I really dont want to risk the chance of the cog slipping off during a ride.
