had a great ride on sat. Pescadero to Bonny Doon on Highway 1...yes this is the same climb Lance and the boys did in the Tour of California. We rode along the coast with a tailwind all morning. it was overcast pretty much the whole way with nice rollers. what makes this ride so nice is the lack of stop signs and stop lights! and pretty much a wide shoulder the whole way with few cars. just after Davenport, we turned left and the long climb to Bonny Doon. Someone went and spray painted some nice words of encouragement on the road. "hurt yet?", "how about now?" at the winery, we turned around and flew down...the curves were not too technical (no switchbacks), and the some of the road hit 10%, which means 45 mph for a max speed...wicked fast for the those curves! back on Highway 1 we had a headwind the whole way back.
