Those shorts are likely absolute garbage? Is the chamois fuzzy? You really need to compare it to some decent shorts, I wouldn't even call those entry level.

Upgrade shorts ASAP. Then get lots of saddle time, need lots of miles for your butt to adjust and be used to sitting on saddle.

Upgrade saddle waaay later down the road, 1,000's of miles, if still having issues or numbness.

At the bottom end, at least get some Pearl Izumi Attacks, mid-range, easy to fine, reasonably priced. Jumping straight into bib shorts though is highly recommended, you'll never want to go back, everything stays in place so much better.
