Pants for commuting, utility cycling clyde

I didn't really know where to post this. I don't really commute, but do general running around on my bike. When the weather gets a little colder, I would like a pair of pants with pockets and no seam in the crotch to wear to run errands and be in and out of stores.

I'm a clyde, so not all pants fit me or fit me appropriately. I just got a pair of North Face convertible pants. they are OK, but pretty expensive and I'm not crazy about how they "fit" me. I mean they fit, but just don't look good or right.

I have found that with my Brooks B17 and Exofficio boxers or boxer briefs, I do not need to wear padded bike shorts for just doing errands. I do however need something with an appropriate crotch area for some extended riding.

Sorry for the rambling
