Bikes: Trek Madone 3.1

I've actually been riding a BD bike for the last 4 years. When I can afford an upgrade, I'll probably buy from an LBS or other online retailer and try to get a good closeout price on an older model. In reality, my bike (a Windsor Fens) has given me no additional problems that I wouldn't expect from any other bike.

If you think you can do final assembly (not much) and all the necessary wrenching, couldn't care less that your bike says "Windsor" or "Motobecane" on the downtube, and are positive on sizing, then BD might be the best way to go for you.
