Hi,
I found the forum about a week ago, enjoyed it and decided to participate. I'm a long time/part time cyclist. While in college, I worked as a bike mechanic and bought the bike that I still use, an '87 Peugeot Cannonball Express. Originally Peugeot's top end mountain bike, I'm using it more for road use now.
I've been on again/off again cyclist for the past two decades, but have recently been given a choice: either blood pressure medication, or exercise. I chose exercise (those kind of pills aren't fun in anyway

) and dropped the pressure over twenty points. At the time it was winter, I bought an indoor cycle that I'll now use when the weather is too bad. I started slow and worked up pretty well, and started riding outside toward the end of summer.
Now I'm trying to find any excuse to get on the bike and go. I have to say that it's good to be back on the bike. I have some wrenching to do on the old lady, but I'm planning on doing that once the weather turns too cold to ride outside.
This site has been inspirational and I'm looking forward to digging through the wealth of knowledge here and hopefully adding to the conversations.
See ya around,
