OK, we're regular watchers but it took me a few seasons to have any interest. Now I watch it mainly for the commentary, some of it hilarious. Hermes, did you see the 'Tour de Dancing' feature with a guy on a unicycle? Hilarious.
For me, watching DWTS for commentary is the equivalent of reading Playboy for the great articles.
However, my mind does drift and I agree that some of the commentary is pretty funny.
