It it's a new frame and costs under $500, then it is cheap and low quality (Lousey tubing, suspect welds, crummy prep, poor ride, etc), using, of course, a traditional set of references. But based on the posts of a great number of folks, there seems to be a high demand for such frames. And the evidence suggests they will indeed last a long time (I remind you of the utility of the low quality frames/bikes used by 99% of the people in the rest of the world). So if you don't care about what others think - you hang out with people like you rather than knowledgeable cyclists - then a cheap, low quality, basic transportation bike is your cup of tea. In fact everyone should have one so they can appreciate the 99% who depend on their bikes to get along, rather than worrying about its quality.
