But based on the posts of a great number of folks, there seems to be a high demand for such frames. And the evidence suggests they will indeed last a long time (I remind you of the utility of the low quality frames/bikes used by 99% of the people in the rest of the world). So if you don't care about what others think - you hang out with people like you rather than knowledgeable cyclists - then a cheap, low quality, basic transportation bike is your cup of tea. In fact everyone should have one so they can appreciate the 99% who depend on their bikes to get along, rather than worrying about its quality.
Then again, unlike the rest of the world he came to a group of people who know a lot about bikes and said "how is this deal" and they said "you can get more bang for your buck"
I believe its human nature to try and get the most they possibly can, so when you put it like "cheap, low quality basic transportation. Or check this out, its in a similar price range and pretty much everything on it is a couple steps up" they'll go for that, and be happier in the long run because they ride their friends "Cup of teas" and say "Wow, I can feel the difference, I'm a smart, intelligent young individual" and BAM, instant self esteem.
