Tweed in the US has always been more of a formal wear. In england it is hunting and day wear. It is a wool product and breaths well so despite its formal look it is not a bad materiel for casual riding.

Yesterday I picked up the porteur rack for my Raleigh that is not a Raleigh and ready to start my build and it will be the perfect bike for a Tweed or Seersucker ride.
