I tend not to smoke many roadies that badly, 35 is quite impressive. My hybrids gearing, Trek 7.2fx, lets me do that pretty comfortably down hill, I don't feel like my cadence is too crazy, I can even push a bit. The first time I went down a hill that fast I chickened out and braked to about 20. From your OP I thought that you did 35 on flat ground, I was like woah! I can only get up to 29.5!
29,5 ... if that is MPH and on completely flat ground that is pretty good if you can keep that up for more than a few yards.
I can keep that up for about 1 mile but then I'm totally wasted
