I commute in a GT Timberline - 1997, I believe. It was bought for me used last year after my last bike, a Diamondback Sorrento, was stolen. I would really rather something with some more road components, but once I put some skinny tires on, it should be fine. I'm thinking of putting drop bars on eventually - but I may just end up upgrading to a road bike next year.

The bike itself I find to be very sturdy. I like it.
