The "I scored an eddy merckx" thread prompted me to wonder about the origins of my bikes -
My '89 waterford paramount was sourced and built up to be raced by the original owner, who later sold it to me ( he has ~40 some race bikes)
My '80 Mclean was custom built, then sold to me by the original owner.
My '85 merckx was resold to me by a secondary owner, as far as I know.
'76 fuji track, sold to me by the original owner, an american in japan at the time he bought it.
'81 bianchi pista, I have no idea, seller just sold it to me.
'78 raleigh track, seller bought it from a shop? I think? It's seen little use.
'78 Raleigh Professional, bought it as a "divorce" bike, the woman (seller) said her husband had bought it new for her, long ago. She also told me other stuff about him and their divorce, more than I wanted to know!
