2 years ago I got a 36v 30ah LiFePo4 battery in an eBay auction for $310 shipped and I bought a 36v 350w motor kit for $200 shipped.

Oh, I just assumed you were talking about lipo packs, because that has been one of the main subjects I have been discussing. .....no harm intended on my part...
Everything I have witnesses in R/C hobby concerning lipos and brushless motors, has indictaed that the prices of these 2 items actually come down in price over time..and these 2 items seem to get more improved over time, as far as performance.
