I have no problem using the sidewalk when necessary... However I normally dismount and just walk my bike. I don't like riding it on the sidewalk because I believe we deserve our "right" to the road. It just shows you the power of the bike since there can be a bunch of vehicles stuck in traffic and I can just dismount and walk my bike on the sidewalk. I then remount in a better location and ride on! I just love to stare at the people stuck in their metal boxes!

Another time there was a road that was blocked due to construction. I just crossed the road and walked my bike along the sidewalk. Motorists had to make a right and find another route! I just walked past the area and got back on the road! :0) Viva la bike!
