For what it's worth, I ride a 2003 Fuji Track. Have had ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEMS with it. It's fast, and climbs and handles well. I ride the **** out it everyday (street and Prospect Park). It's fair to say that the parts are cheap, however, in what sense would the IRO, SOma, or SUrley frames be an upgrade?
The only knock on the frame, IMHO, is that the geometry is more road than track. (Of course, the same applies for the above mentioned frames.)
