one other thing to mention.. no matter what parts.. bikes fall apart.. just be a messenger for a few months and youll see componant decay at speeds you didnt think possible..if youre riding a lot.. 13 months is pretty good time out of some of those parts..
the good news is.. the stuff thats left.. im guessing isnt sealed bearing.. so BB and headsets can be fixed cheaply when the bearings come apart.. and the cranks should be fine..and you got new wheels... you should be ok for a bit

Just to warn you, Bob Jackson is quoting a minimum of an 8 week wait for all sizes of their Off The Peg track frame, despite this being on their site:
"All frames in all sizes are kept in stock 99% of the time so you only need to choose the colour and the frame will be painted and ready for you in 5-7 working days."
I actually put in an order for one, and then while trying to figure out what kind of chroming I wanted on my frame they pulled a "Oh! By the way, 8 weeks at least!".
Just letting you know, cause I sure didn't.

And it's designed for actual velodrome use. BUT there's not that much difference between the Track and Track Pro geometry (and in fact on older frames they had the same geo). Fuji actually puts out one of the trackier street rides.
They do deliver a fork with road rake (which isn't that uncommon in track frames today) as well as tubing with road profiles and crimped seat and down tubes at the bottom bracket shell for a little springier ride.

The TrackPro is an absolutely beautiful frame too. Something we weren't expecting...There's nothing "exciting looking" about the regular Fuji Track, just a good, regular entry level bike...
But the Track PRO...OOH LA LA!

it was the 2002. it had the miche cranks, BB, hubs, and that funky cog.you can browse fuji's past models off their website. the descriptions for 2001 and 2002 are quite the comedy goldmine.
If you've never been to a velodrome or seen track racing on TV, this is what's called a "track iron." If you can call a bike made from aero-shape X-Fusion Alpha tubing an iron.
Single-gear and brakeless like the Track, this is a much more purposeful bike, made for racing on the steep banks of velodromes.

bumping this thread to ask this of other fuji owners and the rest:
recently a "cricking" sound began developing below. It can be heard and felt at about the same point in pedal rotation. It's not the pedal or crank. Must be the BB, either it is in need of maintenance or it is haunted. Any other fuji people go through this yet?
what do these symptoms sound like?

ch0mb0: check your chainring bolts. I have broken several and thiat resulted in the same type of sound.
I've had many problems with the back end of my fuji. I broke spokes at least 4 times until the rim was totally trashed. People at LBS said that the spoke holes in the hub were too large for the spokes which created stress in bad places. Only broke spokes on the back though. someone else said that the front hub was actually fairly nice, much better than the sovos crap in the back. I wouldn't reccommend using the stock cog or lockring on another wheel seeing as they are stamped crap and prone to strip even the nicest hub.
I got a new back wheel and the bike rides great. no other problems besides needing to get all new chainring bolts.

And I'll add to the Fuji component complaints. My buddy has had his Fuji Track for 2 months or something, and has had 3 flats, a torn seat, and creaky annoying headset already.

I have the "03" fuji track (the blue one) and I have had no problems with it at all. The only major things I have had to do with it was repack the headset (which still rides very rough, I will replace it in time though) and I have trued the wheels. Other than that, no broken spokes, stripped hubs, bottom bracket...yadda yadda. I ride this bike pretty hard on a daily basis through the streets of Philadelphia, maybe I have just been lucky... or its just because I check over the bike all the time since its my only mode of transportation. (Except for my newly built Creamsicle Bike that I just posted on the Pictures Thread) but I dont like to use that one as a commuter yet. Maybe after a few more scratches.
