I second the Pasela recommendations.

And BTW, the problem is not that new tires are oversized. The problem is that many tires used to be at least 20% smaller than the nominal size. F'rinstance I had a pair of Conti Top Touring 2000's in 700x32c that measured 26mm in actual width: narrower than my Michelin Axial Pro 700x25c's! Anyway, good luck finding anything as narrow as your OEM tires.
