Classic-looking gum(skin?)walls??

Hey guys, I'm in need of a new pair of tires for my Maruishi. I've searched the forum and the rest of the internet for recommendations, and have come to the conclusion that I'm still lost.

Was reading on here that some newer tires branded 700 X 25c seem more like 32s than 25s. I'd like to keep the same size tires as I have now. Seeing as the tires were original to the bike when it was made in the late 80's, does anyone have any ideas on any good looking gum walls that stay true to size? My originals are Roadlite 100's 700X25c. The roadlites are pretty devoid of any color save black and brown, and I would really like to find another pair of tires without colorful badging/branding. Any help is appreciated - also, if you have any suggestions about other tires (non-gumwalled) I'm open to those as well. I seem to remember seeing a pair of tires with ivory sidewalls that I thought may be interesting, but can't seem to find them anywhere at the moment.

Here's a picture of her if it helps to get a grasp of tire size/style:

Muchas gracias!

You'll get a lot of recommends for Paselas here. I just ordered some Pasela Tourguards. Much lighter color than your sidewalls, but look fairly period. I like the brownish sidewalls on your bike.
Kinda tough to find that color but I'm sure someone will chime in.

The no-longer-available Continental Sport 1000 tires had that color sidewall. Perhaps some other Conti tires do now.

I second the Pasela recommendations.

And BTW, the problem is not that new tires are oversized. The problem is that many tires used to be at least 20% smaller than the nominal size. F'rinstance I had a pair of Conti Top Touring 2000's in 700x32c that measured 26mm in actual width: narrower than my Michelin Axial Pro 700x25c's! Anyway, good luck finding anything as narrow as your OEM tires.

I actually have a couple 700x25c Wolber pairs - the walls are pretty much the same amber/caramel color as yours in the picture. PM me if interested.

Very nice Maruishi, by the way. A buddy of mine - known him since High School - got one of those from his dad for his 18th. Boy, did I envy that bike...

I got some Kendas in 27" that are very old school looking. No idea of quality...

I'll +1 the Paselas as well, although my next set of tires will be the Servizio Corsa tubulars (my first tubs) from Yellow Jersey. A little hint of the current project soon to be unveiled

+45 to the Paselas...I like them a lot. That said, my next set of tires will be the Servizio Corsa tubulars (my first foray) from Yellow Jersey...a hint to my current project soon to be unveiled.

Bikes: Several, mostly not name brands.

Panaracer Pasalas probably have the best "bang for the buck" of any tire out there.

For sure. The Challenge Parigi-Roubaix have a darker skinwall, but they're expensive.
