My issue with the adapter is that i want to bring the bars level with saddle and keep my stem parallel to the top tube. Using these adapters leaves a 1" cylinder sticking up between the stem and the headset that just looks bad.

I've been tempted to throw a shim on this section and toss on some spacers for cosmetics.
