The hubs and rims will have different nomenclature.
Mavic 500 series hubs on their own are very good hubs. I have three sets.
The rims (if mavic) will have their own decal designating model, if not we can figure it out by size and color and weight.

Edit: if there is play in the hub it just needs to be adjusted. The bearings in these hubs rarely have issue from normal use.
