Black is same as Green. Green just lasts longer.
For regular road riding, I'd take SS GHP2 (Green).
However, black is better suited for aggressive riding (CX for example) than Green.
I'm going to put my Black pads on my SS and then get the GHP pads for my CAAD.
(another + to having a back-up bike...a good excuse to upgrade your main bike)
