I usually coat the top of the saddle once a week for the 1st 6 weeks... Put a coat on, let it bake in the sun for an hour, then wipe clean.. This has helped me break them in.. It is not that tough to break them in.. I also like that nice gliding feel after you put a coat of proofide on..
