OK, here are some pics. One of these days I'm going to learn how to use a digital camera. With no viewfinder, and in BRIGHT conditions, there is no way to tell what's being photographed.
A little surprise early on. I had heard they were building a new road, but somehow didn't expect rubble.

Which soon became this

and then went back to one and a half lane chip and seal.

The view from the top of the new bridge, showing the elevation I'd just covered.

The other side of the bridge. That three masted ship appeared to be all wood, with two covered decks and the top, open one.

The hennequen plant, from which sisal rope is made, and which made Mérida the richest city in the world, per capita, at the turn of the 20th century.

And finally, my very first attempt at a self portrait, in front of the Xcambo ruin.

I don't know why that first one won't load. I tried it 3 times. I also don't know how to make them bigger or, more importantly, higher quality. It would help if I could actually see the image before pulling the trigger. I'll keep working on it.
