so beyond velocity deep v's and various mavics my wheelset knowledge is limited.

i recently purchased a bianchi pista concept frameset from a friend.

not in a rush at all to build it up, so was just curious if someone with a larger knowledge base could help me out....

any advice on a light wheelset?

price range? not really set.
lets just say it is the lightest frameset ive ever had and feel like waiting for the right wheels to go on it. Think such a light frame deserves a light wheelset....

and i guess my knowledge of "light" wheelsets are limited to using the search word "carbon" on ebay and names like zipp.

i guess im just wondering if there are wheelsets out there im just not familiar with that provide a happy balance between quality and lightness, and well, price.

what am i using this bike for? well im definitely entertaining the thoughts of driving an hour + to actually try riding on a track @ the hellyer in san jose once a month or so. admittedly i dont know much about velodromes besides what i read on blogs, but after riding fixed gear for a few years the prospect of riding around in circles really fast sounds appealing.

im not going to lie, ill probably take it out on the commute ride too.

um so yah, any help is appreciated. except for maybe a "let me google that for you" lol
