For me buying a trainer was a waste of money. I bought it so I could get in a ride when I didn't have time to ride out doors, mostly during week days. I live in So Cal so weather isn't an issue for me. I have joined a gym that has spin classes but honestly the trainer kicks my ass more than the spin classes do and it is mainly because the Coach Troy knows how to push riders harder than my spin instructor does.
