The Nexus 8 & twist shifter came from her city bike. She likes it a lot as the shifts are foolproof and linear. The drivetrain needs next to no maintenance and adjusting the shifting is as simple as twisting a barrel adjuster until two yellow marks line up.
The twist shifter is mounted to the bar end with a Hubbub adapter. JTek makes a sweet "normal" bar end shifter which we may end up with, but I want to be certain she's good with the drop bars first.
