My administrative assistant has asked me to restore a bicycle that belonged to her sister when they were little kids. It's a CCM, made in Canada and based on a little internet research I am guessing the vintage to be ca. 1940's. I'd appreciate any insights that C&Vers can share about this marquee and model.

The stripes were painted by hand by some previous owner many, many years ago, over a hand coat of blue. Although there are a couple of places of overpaint on the headbadge and front rim, the paint is surprisingly careful. I love the "Wicked Witch of the West" candy cane stripes, too!

CCM-emblazoned cottered crank and chain ring. Most of this should clean up very well, I think.

Perhaps a Dunlop saddle? Like the rest of the bike, it, too, appears to have been painted blue - coils, leather, everything!
